Holiday Theme Friday Night Freestyle - 29th August

So the weather isn't great and we can't afford to go on holiday, but we can always dance!

Our next Friday Night Freestyle will be on Friday 29th August and we are going to have a Holiday theme. Dig out your Hawaiian shirts and your sombreros and come dressed for your ideal holiday. Whether it’s doing the Samba in Rio or scuba-diving off the coral reef or riding a Camel across Morocco, pretty much anything goes! I might have to draw the line at 'topless sunbathing in Nice' for decency's sake (that goes for you too guys, if you want the ladies to dance with you!) but feel free to get creative.

As usual we will be at Exeter St Thomas Cricket Club, Grace Road West, Marsh Barton, Exeter, EX2 8PU. Doors open at 7.45pm for a short beginners class at 8pm to get us going and for any newbies, then dancing through to Midnight.

Tickets are £6 on the door or there are a limited number of advance purchase ones available on Tuesday nights for £5. Please remember to bring your Ceroc card as it speeds things up at the door. If you don't have one, no worries - you can join on the night for no extra cost.

So slap on the fake tan, dust off your passports and we'll see you on the 29th.

Free Taster Session Thurs 14th August

Come and try a Ceroc class for free: On Thursday 14th August from 7-8pm at Fitness First, Tudor Street, EX4 3BR we'll be holding a free taster session so you can find out what it's all about. You don't need to be a member of Fitness First - just say at the front desk that you're there for Ceroc and they'll be happy to let you in. No need to book or bring a partner - just turn up.

Classic Intermediate 6 week course

We are running 2 6 week courses - one on Mondays starting 21st July and the other on Wednesdays starting 30th July. Both will be held at Kalendar Hall, South Street, Exeter, EX1 from 6-7pm.

On these courses we will cover the 15 Intermediate moves plus a couple of the simpler 'footworky' ones. We will also try to iron out any bad habits, give some style tips and help you add your new moves into freestyle.

The courses will cost £30, payable in advance, and are suitable for anyone who is reasonably comfortable with the beginners moves. They will be particularly good for anyone wanting more confidence in the Intermediate class and freestyle.

If you need to miss a Monday, you can come on the following Wednesday (and vice versa) at no extra cost. Also, as long as it doesn't seriously imbalance the male/female ratio, if you are free both nights, feel free to come both nights for a recap.

Private lessons and party nights

Whether it's for your first dance at your wedding, a particular event you want to look good for, or just to generally improve your dancing, private lessons will set you on course. In her 16 years of teaching dance, Saffron has taught everyone from complete novices with 2 left feet, to experienced dancers wanting a bit of flair or a choreographed piece. Prices are £40 per hour for individuals and £50 for a couple. Discounts for 5 or more sessions.
